Lydon damns "twee" Sex Pistols name

However, the veteran rocker also conceded that the band could have had an even worse title if bassist Glen Matlock had been allowed to decide.
"I know the lot of them were all messing around with names before I went there," he told the Evening Echo. "To be honest with you, I never even liked the name Sex Pistols. I always felt like it sounded a bit twee.
"Mind you, if it had been left up to our bassist Glen, we would've most probably been called the Milky Bar Kids," Lydon added.
