Dizzee Rascal has said that the Barclaycard Mercury Prize should be renamed The Dizzee after he was nominated for the third time.

The 24-year-old won the award in 2003 for his debut LP Boy In Da Corner. A 2007 nomination followed for Maths & English but the award was won by the Klaxons.

Only Radiohead have received more nominations - currently a total of four - but have yet to win the prestigious prize.

Dizzee told the Daily Star: "The Dizzee award, that's what they should call it, why not?"

The rapper believes that Tongue N' Cheek can beat off the competition, including offerings from bookies' favourites The XX.

"I'm going to win it this time. I feel like it's my time again. It would be nice for this album to get it. It's my first independent release on Dirtee Stank and my first platinum album," he said.
