The rocker was performing a show with the band in Tampa, FL. when he blacked out, reports People.
The 43-year-old posted on Twitter later: "That wasn't a stage move or clumsiness. That was me blacking out and wiping out."
Corgan said that he and Smashing Pumpkins would continue touring. He has not offered a reason for the onstage blackout.
He also wrote: "I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise + am moving slow."
