Gilliam to direct Arcade Fire webcast

Terry Gilliam will reportedly direct the live webcast of Arcade Fire's performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Gilliam's films include Brazil and The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.

The Canadian band's gig is the first in a series of five concerts to be streamed live. 'Unstaged' is being launched by American Express and will be shown on YouTube via Vevo.

Other performers taking part in the project include John Legend and the Roots.

Arcade Fire's concert will take place on August 5.
