The singer, who is re-releasing her 2009 single 'New York', admitted that she is not keen on putting the song out again and would rather concentrate on a brand new record.
When asked about the re-release by Popjustice, she replied: "I’m sighing. I’m sighing at that question. Oh dear. To be completely honest with you that’s gone out of my control now.
"And if you wanted to know, I quite fancy getting on with the next album, but the powers that be dictate what I do right now."
Discussing her debut album Do You Want The Truth Or Something Beautiful?, she revealed: "I’m hoping this next album will be done with just one producer.
"I want a solid piece of work. I love the beautiful side of things like that Tom Waitsy, Rufus Wainwrighty, Ed Harcourt sort of stuff, and in contrast I like all the OutKast production, Gnarls Barkley and ‘Beggin’’ and all that sort of sound. Contemporary but with a nod to the past.
"But you never know. You might just meet someone and something else would make sense."
'New York' featuring Ghostface Killah is out now.
