Mitch Winehouse cancels UK tour launch

Amy Winehouse's father Mitch has cancelled the launch of his UK tour after he reportedly became ill whilst on holiday in Spain.

The jazz singer was due to perform in Edinburgh on Monday but is currently in hospital.

According to Yahoo, a spokesperson for the former taxi driver explained: "It appears to be food poisoning or gastroenteritis. His manager is now on his way to see him in hospital."

The 60-year-old had planned to perform tracks from Rush Of Love, as part of a tour promoting his debut record.

Mitch recently admitted that his daughter Amy encouraged him to release an album.
