John Lennon's widow suggested to Reuters that the long-rumoured deal to make the band's recordings available via digital download will not happen soon.
Ono said: "[Apple CEO] Steve Jobs has his own idea and he's a brilliant guy.
"There's just an element that we're not very happy about, as people. We are holding out. Don't hold your breath ... for anything."
The band's holding company Apple Corps has long been unable to agree terms with EMI Group regarding the licensing of their recordings.
It had also been involved in an unrelated trademark dispute with iTunes owner Apple Inc, though that matter was resolved in 2007.
