According to The Guardian, the band are currently working on their first LP in more than a decade, and their first with Roth in 26 years.
"The group are currently in the studio recording an album with Roth that is due for release in 2011," confirmed a press release from their publishing company Warner/Chappell Music.
Roth sang on Van Halen's 1980s hit albums including 1984 and Fair Warning. Sammy Hagar replaced him in 1985. Gary Cherone came in for Hagar in 1996, but Roth reunited with the band for a string of concerts in 2007.
A release date for the new album has not been announced.
