The band have played several of Tony Denton's Here & Now '80s tours, but are now taking their debut album Penthouse And Pavement on the road this November to mark its 30th anniversary.
Singer Glen Gregory told The Quietus: "Well, we've done both to be honest but this is more true to how we are."
Keyboard player Martyn Ware added: "We've been doing Here & Now tours for quite a while now. We supported Erasure in a big arena tour and supported Boy George and we've been kind of refining our act over a period of 12 years now.
"Because we only really started performing live in 1988, or something like that. Being the awkward buggers that we are we used to have this dogma about playing live."
He added: "So we're still kind of excited by the prospect which is kind of rare for people who have been together for 30 years.
"But when we came to looking at the 30th anniversary tour, we just thought wouldn't it be nice to do it thoroughly, contextualise it with the whole B.E.F. [British Electric Foundation] thing and make it visually appealing as well."
