The pair, who recently reunited their band The Libertines for a series of festival comeback gigs, will duet on Barat's track 'So Long, My Lover'.
The song is rumoured to be about his fallout with Doherty in 2003, which led to the band's initial split.
Barat told The Sun: "It's really brutally honest and a truthful telling of a time - I hope people can relate to it.
"I'm a happier and more complete person for having made this record. This album is the truth."
Barat will perform with The Libertines at Leeds festival on August 27 and Reading on August 28.
