The Saturdays have insisted that they are pleased with the performance of their single 'Missing You'.

The track, which led the chart all week before being knocked off by Flo Rida's 'Club Can't Handle Me' on Saturday, eventually dropped to number three for Sunday's official announcement.

Una Healy told Live From Studio Five: "It was number one in the midweeks up until Friday and then... we always prepare ourselves for the worst so we weren't really disappointed, it was just Flo Rida [who] stepped in again and pipped us at the post again."

Rochelle Wiseman then joked: "It wouldn't surprise me if [Rida said to his label], 'You know what guys, let's do a compilation of [my] hits and release an album just to get those girls once more!'

"Maybe we should just do a song [with him] and we're guaranteed a number one!"

The band also expressed their joy at a top three placing, and admitted that they were "over the moon" with the response to the song.

Mollie King added: "We'd been number all week... but number three is still amazing. If we hadn't [known] the midweeks all week and they'd said number three we would have been over the moon."

The Saturdays new mini-album Headlines! is currently on course for a top three placing this Sunday.
