The singer is said to be releasing a song called 'Only Girl', which will be the first lifted from her new album, says Defpen Radio.
The song is described as a dance track similar to her international number one hit 'Umbrella'.
A source commented: "Looks like no more dark music, back to 'Umbrella' Rihanna."
The track will launch Rihanna's fifth studio album, which is expected to arrive later this year. The LP comes 12 months after last year's Rated R, which peaked at number nine on the UK album chart.
It was recently reported that the popstar was working on the record with the producer behind her chart-topping Eminem duet 'Love The Way You Lie'.
