Florence Welch has revealed that her next album will be about "bigger topics" than just her feelings.

The Florence and the Machine singer, who recently wrapped up a 20-month world tour, also said that she was "excited" to start working on the LP.

"Singing is a release but it’s also exhausting. We’ve been on a massive journey," she told the Daily Star.

"I’m excited about the second album as I’ve been writing about bigger topics. It’s more about the way I interpret the world than just how I’m feeling."

Welch also performed a new song at the Ibiza Rocks festival called 'Strangeness And Charm', which the newspaper describes as taking a more "melodic direction" than her debut.
