Libertines to reunite permanently?
Published Thursday, Aug 26 2010, 11:02 BST | By Robert Copsey

The band, who announced that they would reform for this year's Reading and Leeds festivals, will decide if a full-time reunion will happen after they play the gigs this weekend.
Asked if they have plans to stay together permanently, Carl Barat told NME: "I think that decision will actually come at that point of time." However, he confessed that he "would love to continue doing this".
Bassist John Hassall said that their upcoming shows were a "crucial time" for the band, adding: "I think it's obviously very important how these gigs go. Not for everyone else, but for ourselves. The focus is on these shows, then we'll see what happens.
"Really you couldn't say at the moment, but yeah, it's definitely possible, definitely."
The Libertines will play at Leeds and Reading festivals this Friday and Saturday.
