The Young Money rapper promised that her debut LP Pink Friday lives up to the hip-hop mogul’s statement, adding that it would sound unlike anything that she has previously released.
Speaking to CNN, the 25-year-old said: "Irv has been privy to hear things that I've done that the world hasn't heard.
"Based on the music I have out now, that sounds like an absurd comment, but when Pink Friday comes out, you will completely understand why Irv made that comparison."
Kanye West recently claimed that Minaj has the potential to be the world's second best rapper after Eminem.
Pink Friday is scheduled to be released in the US on November 23.
