Chris Martin has spoken out in support of Live 8 after the ex-lead singer of Blur criticised its lineup, saying it should have had African artists on the bill.
The Coldplay frontman told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that the event "could have been better, but it could have been worse - and it could have not happened at all."
Martin also spoke about his "exciting" new tour, telling the programme: "It's taken us a long time to get to a point where we really feel totally at home. We've actually become tremendously good, I think."
