The 'Hang With Me' singer was recently confirmed to appear alongside house DJ deadmau5 at next month's event.
"deadmau5 is fantastic and I'm super-duper excited to be able to perform for the VMA audience," she told MTV News in an email.
"I'm gonna be 'dancing on my own'!"
The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air September 12.
