Live 8 suing over "inappropriate" Nicole Smith

Live 8 producers are suing after Anna Nicole Smith arrived apparently drunk and "scantily clad" for her appearance.
Producers Live 8 Productions LLC had intended for Smith to be their "spokesmodel" at the Philadelphia concert in the summer. In their lawsuit, they described Smith as "intoxicated and scantily clad in revealing attire, completely inappropriate for a broadcast that would be seen by millions of people in the United States and then rebroadcast throughout the world."
The action is being taken against diet supplement company Trimspa Inc. who employ the model. Live 8 are also claiming for over $500,000 for unpaid advertising slots in the show's airing on US television.
Smith's lawyer Howard K. Stern says the allegations are "pure fiction and totally irresponsible."
"People are trying to use Anna Nicole as a scapegoat in a contract dispute that she's not a party to and wasn't even aware of," he added in a statement to The Associated Press. He claims she was sober and was told her outfit was fine.
Trimspa said its contract was with a California marketing company, not Live 8 productions, and they were at fault. A spokesman added that Live 8 Production's comment about Smith was "pure propaganda and borders on slanderous".
