Limp Bizkit star Fred Durst has explained the band's 'backstage ritual'.

Speaking from this year's Leeds Festival, the singer said that they write new songs before going on stage.

He revealed that prior to their performance at last weekend's event, Limp Bizkit wrote a track which will feature on their upcoming album Gold Cobra.

Durst told NME: "Before we go on stage we do a ritual and write new songs. I've just figured out a new one to go on Gold Cobra."

He added of the band's appearance at Reading Festival: "We've been told by the head of the festival Melvin [Benn] that if we invite anybody on stage he's not going to let us play Reading."

Guitarist Wes Borland added: "It sounds like a dare to me, it sounds like they're daring us."
