The track - called 'Please Don't Let Me Go' - is outperforming Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream', which lands at number two.
Also heading for a top five placing is Pepper & Piano’s 'You Took My Heart', which is sitting at number five. The song featured in Sky 1's Must be The Music last weekend.
Two other tracks featured in the pop contest are likely to chart this Sunday - 'Carraroe' by Daithi and 'Get What I Want' by Flow Dem, both on which are on course to chart between positions 40 and 75.
Elsewhere, Kanye West's 'Power' is currently standing at number 40.
On the album chart, Katy Perry's Teenage Dream looks certain for number one, outselling her closest competitor - Eminem's Recovery - by a considerable amount.
Perry's debut LP One Of The Boys is also at 36, having last entered the top 40 in March 2009.
Further down the chart, Disturbed are heading for their first UK top five album with Asylum, currently in third place, while The Pretty Reckless are at number four with their debut Light Me Up.
There official chart positions will be announced this Sunday.
