Talking with the Daily Star, the 'Please Don't Let Me Go' singer said that his friends became annoyed after repeatedly being asked to take pictures of him with festival-goers.
"It's all gone a bit crazy and it can be tough getting recognised in public, especially when I'm with my friends. I took a bunch of them with me to V Festival and they got annoyed because people kept asking them to take pictures," he explained.
"They were like, 'We're basically just your photographers these days'. I was like, 'Guys, I'm really sorry'. I felt bad. But we came up with a plan. We ripped one of my girl mate’s leggings off and made a Fonejacker-style balaclava, with a hole for my mouth and eyes. I put sunglasses over the top so no-one would recognise me."
He continued: "I had to walk around in that bizarre disguise for four hours. It was weird wearing a sock on my head but I managed to have a good time and show my mates that I haven't changed."
