Katy Perry lands at top of album charts
Published Sunday, Sep 5 2010, 19:00 BST | By Daniel Sperling

The 'California Gurls' singer's sophomore effort is a marked improvement on her first release One Of The Boys, which failed to crack the Top 10 upon its release in 2008.
Its success pushes Eminem's Recovery down to the runner-up position for only the third time in its 11 weeks of release, one spot ahead of Biffy Clyro's Only Revolutions, which climbs 24 places to return to the top five.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, two more albums - The Pretty Reckless with Light Me Up and Disturbed's Asylum - make their debuts, landing at six and seven respectively.
Meanwhile, Lissie's Catch A Tiger re-enters the top 40 after climbing a massive 30 places to 12, while Iron Maiden's The Final Frontier goes the opposite way, plummeting 15 places from three to 18, one spot behind a new entry from Everything Everything, entitled Man Alive.
