The Beatles sue for unpaid royalties

The Beatles' company Apple Corps has today started legal proceedings to sue record label EMI Music for unpaid royalties to the tune of £30 million.
The company claims that an amicable agreement had been attempted, but they are being forced to pursue the matter further. "[We] regret that our efforts [to setlle the matter out of court] have been in vain. Despite very clear provisions in our contracts, EMI persist in ignoring their obligations and duty to account fairly and with transparency. Apple and The Beatles are, once again, left with no choice but to sue EMI." EMI were unavailable for comment.
The case will appear before both the US Supreme Court and the High Court in London.
