Aphex Twin 'to release new LP'

Aphex Twin is currently recording his first new full-length studio album in nearly a decade, it has been claimed.

According to The Quietus, Richard D. James has been signed by Warp for the follow-up to 2001's double-CD drukqs.

Between 2003 and 2005, James released the 42-track Analord series of 12" vinyl EPs under his Aphex Twin and AFX monikers.

Ten of these tracks were compiled as the Chosen Lords CD, released through Rephlex in 2006.

Aphex Twin performed last month at the London Electronic Dance Festival in Victoria Park.
