The Killers frontman, whose debut solo album Flamingo is released this week, admits that there may come a time when he can't write all his material by himself.
He told Absolute Radio: "It's a strange thing, having a talent like this. It could go away I feel like. It seems like it's inevitable."
Discussing "fake" bands in the industry who put on an act, he admitted: "Well, you know, what I've noticed in all my travels is there's a lot of phoney, I've seen some phoniness, so it's hard for me. I wasn't prepared for that.
"There are some bands that are so great at it and it's almost like they are... I don't know where it comes from."
Flowers recently revealed that his solo LP was initially intended for the next Killers album.
