The lead singer of boyband LFO - best known for their 1999 hit 'Summer Girls' - suffered a stroke and died in hospital on Wednesday, according to WENN.
N Sync members Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick were first to announce the news. Bass posted on Twitter: "Sad sad day that Rich Cronin died- was a amazing guy. :( (sic)." Kirkpatrick wrote on his Facebook page: "Rip to a great friend rich c."
Cronin, who was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia in 2005, started the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation encouraging the public to donate blood and bone marrow to help fight the disease.
