Coyle, who releases her debut album in November, is said to have spoken to Cole following months of alleged snubs that threw the future of the band into doubt, the Daily Star reports.
A source said: "Nadine desperately wants to be friends with all of her Girls Aloud bandmates, despite whatever’s happened in the past and things that have been said.
"Nadine’s been having fun with Brit celebs out in Hollywood who’ve told her life’s too short to spend time worrying and getting upset."
"Her pal Mel B was the catalyst," they continued. "Mel suggested she picked up the phone.
"Mel told her to not dwell on gossip, wondering who’s said what and why, but to just be the bigger person and make amends."
The newspaper also quotes Nicola Roberts as saying: "Everything’s fine. I can’t wait to get together and make another record."
Coyle and Cole will go head-to-head later this year with the release of their solo efforts.
