The group, who spent four years recording their latest LP Night Work, have gone straight back to the studio after admitting to being in a "great new place".
Frontman Jake Shears described the new material to X as "Banging! It's crazy, insane and sexy."
"I feel really freed up after making Night Work. It feels like I've got some elbow room - I don't feel like I've got those weird demons on my shoulders now. It took the band to a great new place that we really wanted to go.
"It's incredibly exciting. We've recorded some amazing stuff."
Shears also admitted that he's become "obsessed" with making dance music.
He continued: "The last time in the studio we were just laughing so much, leaving it every day so happy. It's fun making dance music. I'm super-obsessed with it again, it's all I want to listen to. All I want to do is go clubbing!"
Night Work, which was released in June this year, peaked at number two on the UK album chart.
