Jackson, who died from acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009, is said to have been put in "harm's way" by the company despite them being fully aware of his poor health, his mother Katherine alleges.
The suit, filed yesterday in Los Angeles, claims that Jackson was "disorientated" and "shivering" during his final rehearsals for the 'This Is It' tour, adding: "AEG had legal duties to Michael Jackson to treat him safely and to not put him in harm's way.
"But AEG, despite its knowledge of Michael Jackson's physical condition, breached those duties by putting its desire for massive profits from the tour over the health and safety of Michael Jackson," Contact Music reports.
It is further alleged that Dr Conrad Murray, who has also been charged with involuntary manslaughter, made medical decisions under supervision of AEG, who paid him $150,000 a month as Jackson's private physician.
The suit continues: "AEG knew or should have known that it was jeopardising Jackson's health and safety by assuming control over the doctor-patient relationship between Jackson and Murray, and by directing and influencing Murray to act without regard to medical safety standards."
It is also noted that, due to AEG's "actions and inactions", the world's "most celebrated entertainer" is gone.
