The musician presented a video on his website showing how the invention will work for a 300-run limited edition release available from September 17.
White said: "The new 12" for The Dead Weather - it's the song 'Blue Blood Blues'. But this isn't any ordinary 12". It's the new Thirdman Triple Decker Record. A 12" with a 7" hidden inside it.
"The 7" contains an unreleased song by The Dead Weather. You can't get the song unless you crack the 12" open. And that might require a Swiss army knife or a screwdriver."
He added: "It's one of the many mind games we'd love to play with you here at Thirdman Records."
Other special editions released by White's label have included Texas-Sized 13" LPs, Under Label Groove, Glow In The Dark Halloween 45s, Black and Blue Live Series LPs, Tri-Colour 45s and a Peach Scented Karen Elson LP.
