Coyle "freaked out" over solo album

The singer, who releases her first solo effort Insatiable later this year, admitted that she panicked during her first studio session with No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal because she was not surrounded by her Girls Aloud bandmates.
She exclusively told Digital Spy: "The first writing session I did was with No Doubt bassist Tony Kanal.
"I met Tony and a guy called Jimmy Harry for a late-night session in the studio, and I suddenly freaked out that it was just me doing this by myself. My boyfriend dropped me off and I had to ask him to wait outside the studio in case I came running out screaming within five minutes! I was panicking."
Coyle said that it took a while to get used to being alone in the studio, but she eventually enjoyed being in control.
"After we talked about what I'd done on Garage Band and with Girls Aloud, they said, 'So, what do want us to do?'. It was in that moment that everything seemed to click," she explained.
"I realised that I was in control of how we spent our time in the studio. We recorded a song that evening called 'What's Your Name?', which isn't on the album, but it's a great funk-blues track. The sound of the record eventually came about through my writing style and what musically connected with me."
Nadine Coyle releases her new single 'Insatiable' on November 1.
