Earlier this month it was announced that the legendary club would close at the end of this year due to continuing financial loss.
Jones expressed sadness at the news and NME reports that he has offered to assist in any campaigns to help it stay open.
"If someone's going to do something and I'm available then I'd love to help," Jones said. "You have to balance it with the fact that life changes, but I'd love to help."
The central London club, so named because of its address at 100 Oxford Street, has showcased live music since 1942.
It became renowned during the 1970s for helping bring punk rock into the mainstream, with bands ranging from the Sex Pistols to the Buzzcocks having played at the venue.
