The Gnarls Barkley frontman, who releases the song next week, offered to film a new clip with Cent after he posted his own version of the track online.
Green told the Daily Star: "The song had only been out a couple of days so I took it as a compliment.
"I’ve spoken to 50 Cent on the phone and we are trying to get together to shoot a video for it."
The single's official video, which shows Green growing up while working in an American diner, has clocked up almost five and a half million hits on YouTube in less than a month. A viral video of the track's lyrics has notched up a further six million views.
Green releases his third solo album, The Lady Killer, on November 9.
