Lyngstad, who is best known as Frida, revealed that it would be "great" to work with her former bandmate. The pair have not performed together since the group split in 1983.
"It would be great to do something with Agnetha," she told the Daily Express.
"If we did, it would be hard to avoid all the pressure because of Abba. It could never be lowkey, but we do talk about it."
The band, who have only been seen together in public since their split at the 2008 film premiere of Mamma Mia!, have sold over 375 millions wordwide to date.
They were previously rumoured to have turned down a $1 billion tour deal, with Björn Ulvaeus saying: "We will never appear on stage again. There is simply no motivation to re-group. Money is not a factor."
