New Radiohead album is "going forward"

The drummer was asked by The Quietus if the band's as-yet uncompleted eighth studio LP would be similar to 2007's In Rainbows or 'some new forward direction'.
Selway said: "Always going forward."
Asked about the sound of the album, he added: "We don't know until it's finished... It's just one of those things - we literally don't know until we've finished.
"We get to a certain point and we stop, and completely review everything. And then we reach a point where you think that's probably as close as to how we want it to be. But things can change quite rapidly."
Quizzed about whether his recent solo album would make him more likely to offer his own songs to the group, Selway said: "I mean theoretically, everything is up for grabs.
"I suppose I can see there's a dynamic that works for us. And I think you should play to your strengths.
"If something came along that I thought would make an appropriate Radiohead song, then maybe I would bring it along now - with no expectation, other than just saying here we are."
