NME reports that the Anti-Defamation League has accused the show of using imagery that promotes the stereotype of Jewish people's obsession with money.
"It is outrageous that Roger Waters has chosen to use the juxtaposition of a Jewish Star of David with the symbol of dollar signs," Abraham Foxman from the ADL has claimed in a statement.
"The meaning could easily be misunderstood as a comment about Jews and money," Foxman continued.
The segment of concern apparently occurs during the song 'Goodbye Blue Sky', which depicts aircraft launching explosives in the shape of the Star of David and American dollar signs.
The new production, which will make its UK debut in May 2011, will mark the first time that Pink Floyd's iconic album has been performed in full since 1990.
