The '4th of July' singer kicked off the jaunt on Friday at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire, marking her first major gig in the country in ten years.
Moments before she took to the stage, she posted on her Twitter page: "I'm about to go on stage at shepards bush empire for the first time in about 10 years, I'm actually really excited. (sic)
"AND my cat suit is glorious it looks like the world from outer space :)"
The star is also due to perform in Glasgow and Birmingham before taking the show across Europe.
It was recently reported that Kelis suffered a wardrobe malfunction while performing her new single 'Scream' on the Alan Titchmarsh Show.
