The producer, who releases his debut single 'Give Me A Break' this week, said that the 'Parachute' singer's sophomore LP has a different sound to her debut.
"I just wrapped up a new track with her in LA last week," he told the Daily Star.
"It's a fun, house-driven '90s piano kind of track. Very four to the floor. It sounds great. It's nothing like her first single 'Promise This'.
"That's the great thing with her next record, she's taking a lot more risks and trying different things. I think Cheryl is planning to break Stateside with this album."
Discussing his latest track, he admitted: "'Give Me A Break' is a weird one, as it's a disco track and not what I've ever done before. The rest of the album is me singing, more song-based and some special guests."
