The Irish group previously confirmed that the LP will be released on November 15 and has been produced in its entirety by John Shanks.
Mark Feehily revealed the title on his Twitter page and confirmed that it had been chosen by a fan on the social networking site.
"Im happy to tell you that our new album will be called Gravity," he wrote. "Interesting bit, a fan RIGHT HERE on twitter named it! (sic)"
He continued: "So the tweeter that named our album is @redcorvette09 its as simple as this: she suggested it and I told the lads/label & we all loved it!"
Feehily added that having the name suggested by a fan felt "special".
Westlife will release 'Safe' as the first single from Gravity on November 7.
