The 'TiK ToK' star, who released Animal in January, is said to be reissuing the record under the name Cannibal later this year.
In a press release, the singer revealed that she had cancelled her Mexico tour dates due to promotional commitments surrounding the album's re-release, which is due out in the US on November 22.
The statement on La Cronica reads: "Ke$ha really wanted to come to Mexico and is very disappointed that it will be impossible at this time. However, she hopes to come to this country in 2011 and apologises to fans for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the tour."
Between five and eight songs will be added to the LP, which she has worked on with producers Dr Luke, Benny Blanco and DJ Ammo, all of whom contributed to her debut.
Trailing the release is thought to be the song 'We Are Who We Are', which US radio site Hits Daily Double has listed to hit stations on October 25.
Ke$ha's debut has so far peaked at number eight on the UK album chart, and has sold over two million copies worldwide since its release.
