Rihanna to open American Music Awards

The singer will perform at the the event, now in its 38th year, on November 21, Rap Up reports.
Rihanna, who releases her new album Loud on November 15, will be joined at the ceremony by acts including Pink, Bon Jovi and Usher.
Janet Jackson and Christina Aguilera have both previously opened the awards show, in which they performed medleys of their greatest hits.
Rihanna is also nominated for the 'Favourite Female Artist' prize along with artists including Sade and Alicia Keys.
She is due to perform her new single 'Only Girl (In The World)' on this Sunday's X Factor live results show.
