Brett Anderson has revealed that he is amused by his Twitter impersonator.

The Suede frontman told NME that is aware of the parody feed registered under the name reallybanderson.

Anderson said: "Yeah, I've read a couple of things - it's very funny.

"I don't think anyone really thinks that [Babylon Zoo star] Jas Mann is doing my washing up for me, so it's quite safely in the realms of fiction, isn't it?"

Recent messages from the account include, "The Smiths were a big influence on Brett Anderson. Contempt for guitarists is a trait of a true artist. That and foofy hair" and "Dunno what's up with Twitter. Brett Anderson has been trending in London for 20 glam years".

Suede release a new best-of compilation on November 1.
