The BBC claims that the band are to be honoured in next week's awards ceremony.
Suede first gained success in the early nineties and are generally credited with kick-starting the Britpop movement. They broke up in 2003, but reunited earlier this year and are set to release a greatest hits record.
The band's most well-known hits include 'Animal Nitrate', 'Stay Together', 'Trash' and 'Electricity'.
The Best Of Suede is scheduled for release on November 1.
