Justin Bieber gives 500 tickets to charity

The 'Baby' star - who will play the Los Angeles venue tonight - announced on Twitter that he had organised the "surprise" for children helped by the charities recognised at the weekend's Variety Power Of Youth event.
"Want to say thank u to @Variety for the Power of Youth ceremony 2day, (sic)" he wrote.
"Best part was I got to surprise the charities being honoured. My show tomorrow at the Staples Centre in LA is sold out but... We saved 500 tickets to give 100 each to each charity being honoured to give to kids in need and let them have a fun night they deserve."
He added: "I know what its like to have some tough times so I hope those tickets make u kids coming smile a little. Gonna be a fun show. Thanks."
Bieber was honoured at the event for his work with Pencils Of Promise. Other honourees included Bow-Wow, David Henrie, Victoria Justice and Shailene Woodley.
