The singer performed tracks from her new album Back To Scratch on the shopping channel last week.
"I thought this was a really strange thing to do at first," Andre wrote in his New column. "But it turns out it’s her Nanna’s favourite channel and she did it to make her happy."
He added: "I think that’s so funny and I admire Charlotte for being a little bit different."
However the 'Defender' singer said that he would not "necessarily" follow in Church's footsteps.
