The dance duo, who took seven years to finish their latest album Heligoland, want to release a number of EPs next year after growing tired of spending years on a single record.
"We got quite a bit of EPs out next year," Robert '3D' Del Naja told Spinner.
"We're tired of the cycle of album, tour. It's more fun putting things out randomly, sort of spontaneously.
"We've done it quite traditionally this year, so maybe next year a bit unorthodox."
Discussing the amount of time between releasing their albums, Naja admitted: "It was a time that had to follow its own path. Next year will be a different year. A big factor is not working on film scores."
It was recently reported that ex-bandmate Tricky was considering reuniting with the group for a new project.
