The ARIA Hall of Fame has named the latest inductees at its annual ceremony at the Sydney Hordern Pavilion.
Actor and musician Johnny Young was one of the inductees, with popstar Tina Arena paying him tribute.
Along with singing his song 'Here Comes the Star', she said: "He's a dear man and I've never hidden the fact that he's the reason I'm still here 30 years later. He's a risk-taker and he taught me some very basic fundamental things a long time ago. He taught me to trust my gut and go for it."
Young said: "I've had an amazingly lucky and fulfilling career which started out in music when I was 14. The Hall of Fame is a different kind of nod as it's judged by my peers and rewards my songwriting and contribution to the music industry."
Also inducted were Australian artists The Loved Ones, Models, John Williamson and The Church.
