Will Young slams the Brit Awards
Published Thursday, Feb 2 2006, 11:26 GMT | By Fiona Edwards
Singer Will Young has slammed the Brit Awards saying that if he were not forced to go, he wouldn't.
The Leave Right Now singer says that the Brits are not his favourite event: "I hate them. If I wasn't forced to go, I wouldn't bother attending. It's just a strange event - so many egos in one room. I'm chuffed to be nominated but it's not my kind of thing."
If he were not to attend, he would not be the only star not going; David Gray is snubbing the awards altogether, and rockers Oasis have said they may not go either as they have only received two nominations.
The Brit Awards will be broadcast on ITV1 on February 16.
