The boybands recently announced that they will reunite for a concert tour of the US next summer and the dates were revealed for the first time on Ryan Seacrest's radio show yesterday.
"There will be a lot of surprises," teased New Kids' singer Donnie Wahlberg. "We want to make this a night that people never forget… A lot of our fans have come multiple times and we want to give them something to take them to another place they've never been before."
Backstreet Boys star AJ McLean added: "We're in talks right now about the actual tour, stage and set-up. Nothing is set in stone yet but it will definitely be an awesome spectacle."
Meanwhile, Backstreet's Brian Littrell told a caller that there were plans to hopefully bring the show to Europe later in the year. "We're talking about that now," he said. "We're planning on taking this thing all around the world. I think it would be something great to bring our fans together. Not to speak for all nine of us, but hopefully [it will happen] come the end of the year."
The tour dates are:
- June 9 - Air Canada Centre, Toronto
- June 11 - Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, New York
- June 12 - Izod Centre, East Rutherford, New Jersey
- June 17 - United Centre, Chicago
- July 1 - Staples Centre, Los Angeles
Tickets for Toronto, New York and New Jersey are available from November 19, Chicago tickets are available from November 20 and Los Angeles tickets go on sale November 22. Additional dates will be announced soon.
