U2 have won three prizes at the Meteor Ireland Music Awards in their home town of Dublin.
Awards for best Irish band, best Irish album and best live performance were collected by bass player Adam Clayton.
International awards went to Gwen Stefani, Kanye West and the Kaiser Chiefs; Westlife got best Irish pop act and The Pogues were rewarded for lifetime achievement.
Hosted by comedian Patrick Kielty at Dublin's Point Theatre, Sugababes, McFly, Jamie Cullum and The Darkness all performed at the ceremony.
The Pogues and the Dubliners closed proceedings with a joint performance of Irish Rover.
"It is nice to be a legend when you are still alive," commented the Pogues' Shane McGowan. "A lifetime achievement award is not part of any job really."
